NOW OFFERING: License Prep, License Renewal, Continuing Education Training and Workshop Classes to Beauty and Medical Professionals.
Maryland BOARD OF cosmotoglist license renewal RequirementS
6 hours required
A license shall complete, as condition for a license renewal, a minimum 6 credit hours of approved continuing education with an approved course provider. The board has adopted regulations that set standards for continuing education courses that, at a minimum, require.
- two hours of training in health, safety, welfare or laws.
- four hours of training in general elective courses.
Continuing Education course must be taking by all Maryland Sr Cosmologists, Cosmetology or any Limited Practice such as Esthetician, Nail Tech, Eyelash Tech, Blow-dry Styles and Hair Stylist.
Courses must cover the following topic.
- Board Laws and Regulations (1 to 2 hours)
- Elective topics (1 to 4 hours)
- Health (1 to 2 hours)
- Safety (1 to 2 hours)
- Welfare (1 to 2 hours)

Approved Trainging Provider
MEDASSAGE School of Esthetics is an approved continuing education provider for Maryland Board of Cosmetologist. We offer a 4-hour General Elective in Salon and Spa Business along with a
2-hour Health Course in Beauty Professional Health and Wellness.
Licensees can take this together to fulfill all license renewal requirements, or you can take the classes separately to fulfill partial requirements.
Licensees can register for class at any time by clicking the Register Now button below. Classes Are Held In-Person on Mondays between the hours of 9:00am - 3:30pm.

Salon and Spa Business Workshop is a 4- hour CE course. The course focuses on business skills, business planning and start-ups for licensed beauty professionals. This course is approved by the Maryland Board of Cosmetologist as a 4-hour General Elective class and is a requirement for license renewal. After completing this course licensees will receive 4 CE hours toward their Maryland State Board of Cosmologist - Maryland State License Renewal. These hours are reported directly to the board by the Approved Provider

Beauty Professional Health and Wellness is a 2-hour CE course that focuses on health and wellness for the beauty professional. This class touch on topics such as Preventive Care, Nutrition, Physical Activity, Stress Management and other wellness related topics for the beauty professional.
This course is approved by Maryland Board of Cosmologist as a 2-hour Health class and is a requirement for license renewal. after completing this course licensees will receive 2 CE hours towards their Maryland State License Renewal. These hours are reported directly to the board by the Approved Provider.
