your new career

Esthetics refers to the application of  various technique and treatments to the  epidermal layer of the human body. As an Esthetician you will be a skincare specialist whose focus will be on the integratory System (skin), and you can choose to work part-time or full-time in your career. Once you have completed all required hours and have passed the Maryland State Esthetician Licensing Examination you will qualify for fulfilling employment in several different types of spas, salons, resorts, or as a Dermatologist Assistant, Product Distributor, Platform Artist, Theater Make-up Artist,  Private Practice Esthetician or Spa Manger. Estheticians are not medical doctors; however, with further training you can pursue  specializations as Master Esthetician in some states and work independently in medical spas and Dermatologist offices.
